Vista al Chirripó is the highest-elevation farm of Café Rivense del Chirripó, a family-run micromill nestled in Costa Rica’s Brunca region. Perched on the slopes facing Cerro Chirripó, the country’s tallest mountain, the farm greets each day with cool, crisp mornings and gentle sunlight that stretches across the landscape. These ideal conditions slow the ripening of the cherries, allowing sugars and acids to develop gradually, resulting in a nuanced, well-balanced flavor. The Ureña Rojas family harvests only fully ripe cherries, hand-selecting each one to ensure that every batch reflects the care, dedication, and expertise poured into the farm over generations.

Processing at Vista al Chirripó is a meticulous craft. Cherries are dry-pulped without water, preserving the integrity of the mucilage and maintaining purity in the cup. They are then sun-dried on African raised beds, carefully monitored to ensure even drying while retaining the coffee’s delicate character.
